President Obama and his family left for Chicago yesterday for the long weekend. The President went to the gym at a friends apartment building this morning. This is the President of the United States, right? I mean, what does he say to the secret service? "I'm gonna hit the gym at a buddies, see you in a couple hours". They probably laugh and bring him back to reality. Ok, they probably don't laugh but I would just bet he has already tested his boundaries with them. Actually he has, I'm waiting for a picture of him with that blackberry.
I think it's great that the President is going to great lengths to try and keep a sense of normalcy for his family. Life is anything but normal for them however. They are experiencing a life that only 44 familes can stake claim to in 233 years. Plus, they are the first African American family to live under this microscope.
But hey, you go to the gym Mr. President, and take your wife out for Valentine's Day dinner tonight (he has reservations at a Chicago restaurant). You do whatever you want. After all, it is President's Day Weekend.
